Sure, you've heard that one before. Actually, most dentists will tell you to brush your teeth for at least two minutes in the morning and before going to bed every day and after meals. You may not be able to brush after lunch at work but you can remedy that with rinsing your mouth with water or mouthwash.
Depending on your age and the sensitivity of your teeth, choose your toothbrush wisely. You can ask us at Shoenberger Dental and we can help you choose the right toothbrush. Be sure to not only brush the surface of your teeth, but include the gums as well.
Floss Daily
If you thought brushing your teeth was important; flossing your teeth makes it possible for you to clean between the teeth and below the gum line. Food can get stuck between your teeth. If you don't floss daily, plaque will form, buildup and can cause gum disease. Floss every day and after meals to keep those particles out.
